It’s that time again, the coconut water is doing it’s job, it’s time to take a pew and the toilets in Hotel “Es Vive” Ibiza will allow you to relieve yourself in style.

The porcelain itself is similar to the original “Thomas Crapper” with a wooden seat and chain box flushing system. The boxes on these however, are elaborately accented with white lace looking embellishments and small “pull” details on the handle showing us that this is a toilet where detail has been thoroughly considered.

The cubicles are self contained with a mirror and sink and the ceilings triple height making you feel like you’re taking a shit in the living room of a really plush London townhouse. Now if this isn’t punk I don’t know what would satisfy you more?!

The mirror is vast and in fact so much so that it stretches the whole back wall, leaving the lights to jut out of the mirror itself. This naturally increases the horizontal space giving your thoughts free flow for creative epiphanies.

The lighting level has a calm glow so you are not straining your face at fluorescence any more than one needs to. The shades are elaborate and contemporary whereas the walls have a classic panel. This pattern of old and new can be seen throughout the hotel and satisfies various planes of taste.

When it comes to functionality, the flush is strong, the taps are easy to use and the dryer works. So it’s a yes yes yes from me.

The bin is inoffensive and so is the toilet brush. My only requests would be for a moisturiser to match the soap and the option of hand towels as an alternative to the dryer.

Other than this I find these toilets a worthy space for creative bums and a relaxing space for thoughts to flow.
