INTRUCTIONS: (Listen to Bobby Vinton while reading this)

POEM

And the tiles fell from my roof as you stared into my soul,

Like Dorothy in a storm falling helplessly through your whole,

Dark grey skies are dispersed by the depth of your eyes,

Hands on my thighs she sits there and cries.

The atmosphere crumbles away when I ask you to stay,

My hands in your hands the seconds turn into days,

I would stay here forever if the God’s would allow,

There would be no more clouds.

You’re building my bricks when I’m short on cement,

The walls are removed as you peer over my fence.

Inside I’m glitter and plastic and Gold,

And the lights turn on me as I tell you so bold.

You can make these tears into streams,

Whipped cream dreams are ripped at the seams.

These are the candy dust screams of a girl in her teens.
